Ken Thompson's New Book on GAME-BASED LEARNING (GBL)
I am very pleased to announce the release of my new guide book:
A SYSTEMATIC GUIDE TO GAME-BASED LEARNING (GBL) IN ORGANIZATIONAL TEAMS.
My friend Charles Jennings who introduces the book kindly notes in his foreword that 'it provides a deep analysis and clear guidance to help practitioners develop effective social game-based learning solutions'.
I start off the guide by explaining what GBL is and why so much interest in it. I then examine the evidence for the effectiveness of GBL and offer 3 recent GBL case studies in which I was directly involved.
I then propose a systematic approach to planning and designing effective GBL projects with 4 key stages - GBL Planning, GBL Design, GBL Testing and GBL Execution which I go on to explain in detail in the subsequent chapters:
The book is available both on kindle and in hard copy on all the Amazon Channels and is volume 2 in my Systematic Guide series:

I was introduced to an interesting book and web site, The Organizational Zoo, by Arthur Shelley which offers humorous observations of the characteristics and behaviours of the other creatures in your "organizational Zoo".
