CAMP: A simple but effective model for building high performing teams
I would like to share with you a very simple model I use for helping teams become more High Performing which addresses 4 key aspects of teams - Communications, Alignment, Meetings and Support ("CAMP").
Each key aspect of CAMP is further broken down into 4 key areas as summarised in the diagram:

One very important thing about team improvements is to realise is that you cannot just make team improvements in a random sequence or you will just create chaos, overwhelm and confusion rather than improved performance.
This is why I have embedded within CAMP a 3-level maturity model of my suggested sequence for making your team improvements.
For example, Operational Meetings happen much more frequently than Strategic Meetings.
Therefore in CAMP operational meetings are a higher priority than strategic meetings because they provide a solid platform to allow other improvements to be made later.
There is also a comprehensive business simulation game (CHAPTER) which teaches CAMP experientially to a group of up to 20 team leaders or prospective leaders using a realistic 10 person team scenario which can be completed in a morning or afternoon.
The techniques experienced in CHAPTER can then immediately be applied to the participants own teams using the models, forms and tools provided as part of the simulation.
