Leadership and Self-Deception

A few months ago I read the book "Leadership and Self-Deception". Then I became a friend of the Arbinger Institute, went through some training with them in London and may be involved with them in the future. So I suppose the book inspired me – here’s why! Guest book review by Mario Gastaldi.

Leadership and Self-Deception

Below the surface of an easy read, some powerful concepts will strike you, opening new discoveries about how we constantly self-deceive ourselves.

We are always ready to transform the reality we see in ways we need to justify our own behaviors, actions and decisions.

All this leads us to a sometimes very stubborn (and ultimately fruitless) effort to change others and their behaviors.

This doesn’t work and you will see how “collusion”, instead, might lead you exactly where you do not want to go.

You will grow your awareness of this phenomenon that we all happen to experience in a lesser or greater extent.

And you will learn ways to get “out of the box” so that the solution of the negative patterns you will recognize will be easily within arm reach.
