New mobile technology disorders finally get names
Does a phenomenon fully exist until it has a name? In Overly Wired? There’s a Word for it Lisa Belkin writing for The New York Times introduces us to some of the new wired technology behavior 'disorders'.
These have been named by Dr. Edward Hallowell who is a specialist in the treatment of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). My personal favourite is Screensucking which is defined as wasting time engaging with any screen.
