Blog readers need web accessibility too
Perhaps I am being harsh or even uninformed but the whole area of Web Accessibility seems to have been largely ignored in the blogosphere. Just try doing a google search on web accessibility and blogs and you will see what I mean.
I am sure that as a percentage, blog readers are just as likely to have web accessibility issues as any other set of web users.
It may also be that the developers of web accessibility tools have geared their pricing too high to be accessible to bloggers.
Therefore I have speech enabled www.bioteams.com with a web reader facility which will automatically read out selected text to blog readers with eyesight problems, reading challenges, where English is not the first language or like me when you just want to give your eyes a rest from looking at a screen from time to time.
All you have to do is to click on the little Browsealoud logo on the top right corner of the screen to download the free reader software. You then just have to set the pointer to the place on the screen where you wish the text to be read to you from. Make sure you have your speaker volume switched on.

I would really appreciate any feedback readers might have on the usefulness of this facility as its not free and I want to make sure it adds value before I provide it on an-ongoing basis.
